Clam Chowder

4 slices bacon or salt pork
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
4 med potatoes, peeled and diced
2 cans minced clams w/ liquid
1 cup clam juice
1 cup half and half
salt and pepper
1/2 cup heavy cream

Saute pork, drain and crumble. Saute onion and potato for a couple
minutes, sprinkle with flour. Add clam juice from cans and bottles.
Simmer until potatoes are soft, about 15 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Add half and half, salt and pepper to taste, minced
clams, heat until simmering, do not boil. Add heavy cream and pork,
serve.
