Corn Chowder
Serves 4

2 medium potatoes, cubed
1 large onion, cubed

6 to 8 strips bacon, chopped
1 large can cream corn
1/2 to 1 cup milk or half-and-half
1 teaspoon pepper
salt to taste

Boil together potatoes and onions, drain. Fry the bacon in a large
pot. Remove from heat. Lift out and drain off the remaining bacon
fat. Add drained potatoes/onions and remaining ingredients in the
pot. Place over medium-low heat. Heat through; stirring often,
and serve.
