Onion Soup

4 onions
1 Tbsp. flour
2 dl dry white wine
1 liter water
Gruyere cheese

Saute the onions (finely minced) in butter until transparent,
sprinkle with a table spoon of flour, add 2 dl of white dry wine,
1 litter of water, salt, pepper, nutmeg, cover and let boil gently
20 minutes. In the bottom of 4 bowls, place 1 slice of bread, spread
grated Gruyere, pour some soup on it, spread some more Gruyre cheese
over it, and put under the grill.
