Pasta Fagiole

8 ounce package elbow macaroni
2 Italian sausages, sliced
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 small onion, chopped
1 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. basil
16 ounce can tomato sauce plus 1 small can if needed
about 1/2 can water
16 ounce cans cannellini beans
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

Cook the pasta and set aside. Fry sausage in large pot-remove and
drain most of the grease from pot. Cook garlic and onion in reserved
grease until soft. Add the sauce, water, seasonings and beans.
Simmer a few minutes then add sausage, cheese and noodles. Mix
well. Serve hot with additional cheese and Italian bread. Serves
4 Also good if sprinkled with crushed, dried hot pepper flakes.
