Porra Archidonesa (Old Spanish Cold Tomato Soup)

This is an old recipe that my mother gave me. it's original from a zone in southern spain called "comarca de antequera". Two villages of the area, Archidona and Antequera, maintain an endless dispute about the "paternity" of the recipe.... i don't say anything ...( but all my family comes from Archidona! )
Ingredients:
1 kg "day before" bread 1.1/2 kg ripe tomatoes 4 cloves garlic 1/4 cup olive oil (you can try other kind of oil under your own risk!) salt to taste
Cut the bread into very small pieces. Peel the tomatoes off - it's easiest if you put tomatoes in boiling water for five minutes-. Now put sliced garlic and the rest of ingredients in a bowl and mash well until you get an homogeneous mix, adding slowly the olive oil. Finally, put the bowl in a fridge for a while and serve with chopped hard-boiled eggs and green peppers. If you like, you can add tuna in oil to garnish..
buen apetito!
