Salmon Chowder

1 pound salmon steaks or filets
2 thin slices of bacon chopped
1 medium sized onion, peeled and chopped
1 green pepper, cleaned and chopped
3 cups boiling water
2 medium sized potatoes peeled and diced
8 oz. whole kernel corn
2 cups hot milk
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Cut salmon into half inch cubes Fry bacon crisp Add onion and pepper
and saute 1 minute Add water and potatoes Cover and cook slowly
for 10 minutes Add salmon Cook 10 more minutes or until fish flakes
Add corn, thyme, milk salt and pepper Cook an additional 1-2 minutes
Garnish with parsley

Serves 6
