Wild Rice Soup

1 large onion, diced
4-oz. can mushrooms, drained
1 cup cooked, diced ham or chicken
1 cup flour
8 cups hot chicken broth
2 cups cooked wild rice (1/2 cup uncooked)
Salt & Pepper
1 cup light cream
2 tablespoons white wine

Saute onion, mushrooms and ham or chicken in butter until soft,
about 3 minutes. Stir in flour. Mix, but do not brown. Slowly add
chicken broth and blend well. Add cooked wild rice and season to
taste; heat thoroughly. Stir in cream and wine and heat gently.
