3/4 cup onions, diced
6 slices bacon
1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic

The first time I tried this soup was at The Olive Garden in Grand Junction, CO. My fiance and I were celebrating my birthday so we thought we would go out for dinner. Our server told us about the different soups they had. She said her favorite was the Zuppa Toscano. We tried it and absolutely loved it. Loved it so much that we went online that evening to find this incredible recipe. We found it at Recipe Cottage under the Soups selection. The next day I went to the store and bought all of the ingedients to make the soup. My fiance was really suprised when I made it that evening. It turned out great. We have made it for guests and have had very good reviews from them also. I make this recipe at least once a month. I usually double the recipe or add a little more sausage and potatoes to bulk it up a bit. I would highly recomend to anyone and everyone to try this recipe at least once. You won't be disappointed.
