Chicken Hearts in Tomato Sauce
1 pkg chicken hearts 1 can tomato sauce 2-3 cups water 6 tbs oil 1 large chopped onion 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp oregano small piece of cinnamon stick (about 1/2 inch), optional
In pot, heat oil and simmer onions and chicken hearts until brown. Add tomato sauce and water. Add seasoning and bring to a boil. Boil for about 30 minutes or longer (until sauce is as thick as you want it).
Serve it over plain boiled rice.
This recipe also works with giblets or a combination of both.
