Steak and Kidney Pie with Mushrooms

1-1/2 lbs. round steak, cut in inch or 1 1/2 inch cubes (or smaller)
1 beef kidney, cut in pieces
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
10-ounce can beef gravy
2 tablespoons red wine (optional)
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced (optional)
Pie dough recipe for 1 crust pie

Saute steak and kidney briefly in butter, then add mushrooms. Remove
from heat, mix with gravy and red wine. Place in a pottery or enamel
baking dish, round and shallow. Top with pastry, and cut to allow
steam to escape. 2. Bake in a 350 degree (F) oven for 25-30 minutes.
Serves 4
