Sweet N Sour (Chicken, Pork or Beef)
Beef, Chicken breast or Pork ( Boneless ) Choose one meat for each bowl of flour mixture as not to cross contaminate meat.
1-2 Cups Flour
Water
soy sauce
deep fryer
Cut up meat into cubes. Sprinkle Soy sauce on top and marinate the meat.
Put the flour into a large bowl, add enough water & soy sauce to make it thick.
Add some meat and coat. Coat about 5-6 meats at a time and spoon drop into deep fryer. Drop the meat about an inch away from one another so as not to stick together. Once meat has come up you may try to unstick the meat if any are stuck together. When the oil sounds loud the meat should be done. Check by slicing one. Coating will be browned. When done take out meat and drain on a paper towel lined plate. Use oven mits so you wont burn yourself. Once the meat is out of the fryer the oil will be quiet again, then start the procedure again. Cooking till all meat is done. Place cooked meat on an oven safe pan and keep warm until all meat is done.
Sweet N Sour Sauce:
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
3 Table Spoons Corn Starch
1 Cup or more Pineapple Juice Or pineapple chunks undrained
3 Table Spoons Apple Cider
3 Table Spoons Soy Sauce
Put all ingredients into sauce pan besides pineapple chunks. Cook on medium heat until thick. Add pineapple chunks last. I find I keep adding Pineapple juice. Keep stiring mixture all the time while cooking so it won't burn.
Serve over rice
Yummy!
