Corn Fritters
1/2 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
dash black pepper
1 Tbsp. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
2 cup corn, cut from cob (or 1 can creamed corn)
Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening and add eggs, milk and
corn. Beat well and drip by spoonfuls into deep hot fat and fry
until brown.
