Green Beans With Fresh Dill And Scallions
3 quarts water
1 pound fresh string beans, trimmed and halved
3 tablespoons margarine
5 green onions, trimmed and thickly sliced
3 tablespoons dill, finely chopped
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
Add the beans and cook over medium heat, covered 7 minutes and
drain. In a large skillet, over medium heat, melt margarine and
saute' the green onions for 3-5 minutes or until wilted.
Add the beans. Toss with margarine and green onions. Cook 5-7
minutes or until tender.
