Scalloped Potatoes
5-6 large potatoes, peeled 1 cup milk, sour cream or cream 1/2 cup margarine or butter 3 minced cloves garlic or more grated Mozzarella cheese salt pepper
Cut potatoes into thin slices (about 1/8" of an inch). Arrange on a baking pan in layers (about 3-4 layers of potatoes). Preheat oven to 375 degrees. On the stove, melt the margarine, add garlic and milk, salt and pepper. Don't let it boil. Pour on top of the potatoes. Cover dish with aluminum foil. Bake in hot oven for about an hour or more (or check until potatoes are soft with a fork). Put Mozzarella cheese on top and put back in the oven for a few more minutes until cheese is melted.
