Sweet Potato Casserole

3 cups mashed cooked sweet potatoes
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cups) plus 1 tbs butter melted and cooled
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup evaporated milk
pinch nutmeg

1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

In a large bowl mix potatoes, granulated sugar, 1/2 cup of the
butter, eggs, vanilla, milk and nutmeg to a smooth mixture. Put
in 8" square baking dish. In bowl use a fork to stir together
brown sugar, flour, remaining butter and pecans. Sprinkle mixture
over top of casserole. Bake 30 minutes. Serves 6-8.
