Print this Recipe    Spiced Chickpea Burgers

Yield: 4 servings

1 440 g can chickpeas; drained and pureed
1/2 medium onion; grated
1 medium carrot; grated
2 tablespoons Indian relish or pickle
1 tablespoon tomato puree
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
3 tablespoons oatmeal
flour; to coat
1 tablespoon oil

Thoroughly mix the first 8 ingredients and shape into 8 balls. Flatten
into burger shapes and coat with a little flour.

Heat the oil and fry the burgers in batches for 10-12 minutes. Serve with
a tomato and cucumber salad.
