as long as you add a little extra on the spice, onion, garlic and tomato puree front.
1. Soak 1 packet textured vegetable protein for 10 minutes with 1 vegetable stock cube, then drain. 2. Fry 2 medium onions and 3 cloves garlic until brown then add 1/4 pound mushrooms (optional mixed red, green peppers - I prefer it without) 3. Add mixed spices: chili, cumin and dash of cinnamon 4. Stir in TVP 5. Add large jar of tomato puree, tin of tomatoes 6. Add sprinkling of mixed herbs and stock cube 7. Simmer for 1 hour adding water as necessary 8. Add tin of kidney beans, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, and 1-2 tsp vinegar.
Serve with long grain or brown rice and garlic bread.
Let me know how you found it.
