MISO GRAVY

3 T vegetable oil
1 T flour
1 T nutritional yeast
1 cup water
1 T miso

In a small pot, heat the oil on medium. Add flour and yeat and
whisk for about 1 or 2 minutes. Add in water gradually, whisking
to avoid lumps. Simmer for a couple of minutes, then remove from
heat and whisk in the miso.

That's it. Very easy once you have the yeast and miso on hand. I've
sometimes added some chopped onion or garlic, or a dash of cayenne,
with good results.
