NUTRITIONAL YEAST GRAVY (GOLDEN GRAVY)

1/3 cup white unbleached flour
1/3 cup nutritional yeast
1/4 cup oil or margerine
2 cups water
1 tblsp soy sauce

Toast flour over medium low heat until you start to smell it. Add
yeast, stirring to mix it well, and add oil. When it becomes
bubbly, add water. Whisk while it cooks and thickens. Add soy
sauce, salt and pepper to taste, and serve.

I made a nut loaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans for a "comfort food" dinner. All I was missing was the gravy, so I looked through the various recipes here. I found this one and chose it because I had all of the ingredients handy. It was quick, easy, and delicious. It made enough gravy for 4 hearty servings of comfort food.
