Vegetarian Fish:

200 g (7 oz.) bean curd pockets
80 g (3 oz) enoki mushrooms
80 g (3 oz) water chestnuts
1 sheet bean curd skin
1 sheet nori (or purple laver seaweed

1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon water

1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp MSG (optional)
1 egg

Mix flour and water.

Mince bean curd pockets and water chestnuts, wash and trim enoki
and mince. Mix all minced things with salt, pepper, MSG and egg.
This is the filling.

Lay the nori sheet on the bean curd skin sheet. Spread the filling
on the nori in a rectangle, leaving enough skin around the edges
to fold over into a rectangular package. Seal the "package" with
the batter (use like glue). Steam it for 30 minutes over high
heat. The "fish" is then used in other recipes.
