Chick Pea "Tuna"

2 cups dried chick peas (soaked over night) or 2 cans cooked chick peas
3 tbsp mayonnaise
1 stalk celery, diced
1 tsp dried minced onion
1/4 tsp celery seed
1 tsp tahini
1/2 tsp garlic powder
juice of one lemon
1/2 tsp tamari
1 tsp paprika
salt and pepper to taste

Soak chickpeas overnight. Drain. Add fresh water to cover and
cook 1 1/2 hours or till tender. Drain and mash. Leave chunky.
To the mashed chick peas, add the rest of the ingredients and mix
together well. Chill and serve.

Great as a filling for sandwiches, especially on a bagel with
sprouts and cheese! also good as a dip!
