Mushroom Pate

1/2 onion, chopped
6 cloves garlic, minced
10 oz brown mushrooms, chopped
4 oz silken tofu
1/3 cup soft bread crumbs
3/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp allspice

Saute onion, garlic and mushrooms in butter or olive oil over a
low flame. Saute, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes.

Remove from heat. Place 3/4 of the mushrooms in a food processor.
Add tofu, bread crumbs, cumin, and allspice. Pulse briefly until
smooth.

Stir in remaining mushroom mixture. Season to taste.
