Reviewer: Gerry from Adelaide, Australia This was so easy to make, and absolutely delicious. For the benefit of other Aussies reading this, we used Vitasoy Calci-plus soy milk, Orgran custard powder, and Coles Farmland puff pastry sheets, which (as far as I can tell) are vegan, and Nuttelex for the icing. For the icing, we did half passionfruit icing, and half coconut. Either way, you won't regret making this. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful:
Reviewer: Tammy from Melbourne, Australia Being vegan and not eating sugar means we can't often find sweet and tasty desserts. I substituted the sugar with honey (my only not quite vegan compromise) and substituted the icing sugar with silken tofu. It is addictive and delicious. Thanks a million. Reviewer: Anonymous from Swan Hill, Australia I am a vegan from Victoria in Australia. This slice recipe is fantastic. The taste is excellent and so quick and easy to prepare. A bit of care when arranging the final layers gives a good visual appearance. I tried this recipe adding a couple of drops of rose essence to the custard. It was nice but really I decided this recipe is so good it doesn't need to be improved upon. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No
