Print this Recipe    Cocoa Apple Cake

3 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup margarine
1/2 cup water
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoons allspice

1 cup finely-chopped walnuts
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 cups grated apples
1 tablespoon vanilla

Cream together till fluffy eggs, sugar, margarine and water. Sift
together flour, cocoa, baking soda, cinnamon and allspice. Add
to creamed mixture and mix well.

Fold in nuts, chocolate chips, apples and vanilla.

Mix well until distributed evenly. Spoon into greased, floured
10" loose bottom tube pan. Bake at 325 for 60 - 70 minutes.

Serves 12

I first received this recipe from a friend about 20 years ago and just recently I couldn't find it. I was so sad because I had promised co-workers I would bake this cake and bring it to work tomorrow. I was so pleased to find it online. I put a penache glaze on this cake on it really adds to the overall appeal and tasate of this wonderful cake.
