Pie Crust Made with Oil
(makes a two crust pie)
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup vegetable oil
5 tablespoons ice water
In a large bowl combine the flour and the salt. Then wisk together
the oil and ice water until it has the appearance of whipping cream.
Add to the dry ingredients. Mix well with a fork or pastry cutter.
Divide into two parts. Roll between two pieces of wax paper.
Hint: The wax paper will stay on the counter if you wet the counter
first and the wax paper sometimes needs to be torn off of the dough
in strips.
